Four young directors from Venezuela received awards at \u201cFare Cinema \u2013 El inmigrante italiano\u201d, a short film contest which celebrated its third edition this year.
\nDuring the ceremony, the Italian Charg\u00e9 d’Affaires in Caracas, Ambassador Placido Vigo, pointed out that the aim of \u201cFare Cinema\u201d is to stimulate artistic creation so that every person who carries a story \u201cin their heart, can show it on the big screen and allow it travel around the world. I believe this is the best way to value the many Italians who love Venezuela and consider it their own Country.”<\/p>\n
Thirty-two short films from 14 States in the Country took part in the selection. The winners are: Joseth Emmanuel Amarista Mora, author of “La Cruz del Cacao” (first place); Israel P\u00e9rez Araque, director of “Sangre”, and Luis Abraham Su\u00e1rez Castillo, director of “Semblanzas de Campilongo” (second and third place). Eros Zinatelli was awarded in the \u201cYoung Talents\u201d category for his short film \u201cLos amores de mi Nonna\u201d.<\/p>\n
The contest, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was organized, among others, by the Consulate General of Italy in Caracas, the Consulate of Italy in Maracaibo, the Italian Cultural Institute in Caracas, the Committee of Italians Abroad (COM.IT.ES), the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the Italo-Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce (Cavenit), the Dante Alighieri Society in Maracay, and the Trasnocho Cultural Centre in Caracas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Four young directors from Venezuela received awards at \u201cFare Cinema \u2013 El inmigrante italiano\u201d, a short film contest which celebrated its third edition this year.
