The\u00a0<\/span>Conference of the Directors of Italian Cultural Institutes (IIC)\u00a0<\/strong>will be held at the\u00a0<\/span>Teatro di San Carlo in Naples<\/strong>\u00a0on<\/span>\u00a028 and 29 July 2022<\/strong>\u00a0to offer an opportunity to discuss the principal issues linked to Italy\u2019s current cultural promotion policy in the world through debates, workshops, and working groups. The event will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,<\/span>\u00a0Luigi di Maio<\/strong>, the Directors of the IICs, numerous top-ranking public officials and institutional dignitaries, as well as almost 100 officers from the Cultural Promotion Department on duty in Rome.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Conference proceedings will open in the morning of\u00a028<\/strong>\u00a0July\u00a0<\/strong>with the greetings and preliminary remarks by the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0Benedetto Della Vedova\u00a0<\/strong>and the Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy,\u00a0Pasquale Quito Terracciano.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The day will continue with working sessions dedicated to opening a debate between the Directors and Central Administration officials to highlight the key issues for the operation of Italian Cultural Institutes in the world.<\/p>\n

On the following day, the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0working session \u2013 moderated by\u00a0Alessandro De Pedys<\/strong>, Deputy Director General and Principal Director for the Promotion of the Italian Culture and Language, and by\u00a0Filippo La Rosa<\/strong>, Head of the Office for Italian Cultural Institutes at the Directorate General of Public Diplomacy (DGDP) \u2013 will\u00a0begin at 2:50 PM\u00a0<\/strong>and will shift the focus of the debate onto the main cultural issues in Italy, especially in Naples and the Campania Region, in line with the Farnesina\u2019s project to incorporate local cultural services in Italy\u2019s cultural promotion network. This last session will be enlivened with contributions, among others, by\u00a0Sylvain Bellenger<\/strong>, Director General of the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte,\u00a0Gabriel Zuchtriegel<\/strong>, Director General of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii,\u00a0Angela Tecce<\/strong>, President of the Fondazione Donnaregina,\u00a0Rosanna Romano<\/strong>, Director General for Cultural Policies and Tourism of the Campania Region, and\u00a0Giovanna Melandri<\/strong>, President of the Fondazione MAXXI.<\/p>\n

The Conference will close at 5 PM with remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0Luigi di Maio<\/strong>, the Minister of Culture,\u00a0Dario Franceschini<\/strong>, the\u00a0<\/strong>Director of the Regional Directorate for the Museums of Campania – Ministry of Culture,\u00a0Marta Ragozzino,\u00a0the<\/strong>\u00a0President of the Campania Region,\u00a0Vincenzo De Luca<\/strong>, the\u00a0<\/strong>President of the \u201cMade in Cloister\u201d Foundation,\u00a0Rosa\u00a0Alba Impronta,<\/strong>\u00a0and the Mayor of Naples,\u00a0Gaetano Manfredi.<\/strong><\/p>\n
