The event will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0<strong>Luigi di Maio<\/strong>, the Directors of the IICs, numerous top-ranking public officials and institutional dignitaries, as well as almost 100 officers from the Cultural Promotion Department on duty in Rome.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference proceedings will open in the morning of\u00a0<strong>28\u00a0July<\/strong>\u00a0with the greetings and preliminary remarks by the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Benedetto Della Vedova\u00a0and the Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy,\u00a0<strong>Pasquale Quito Terracciano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The day will continue with working sessions dedicated to opening a debate between the Directors and Central Administration officials to highlight the key issues for the operation of Italian Cultural Institutes in the world.<\/p>\n<p>On the following day, the 4th working session \u2013 moderated by\u00a0<strong>Alessandro De Pedys<\/strong>, Deputy Director General and Principal Director for the Promotion of the Italian Culture and Language, and by\u00a0<strong>Filippo La Rosa<\/strong>, Head of the Office for Italian Cultural Institutes at the Directorate General of Public Diplomacy (DGDP) \u2013\u00a0<strong>will begin at 2:50 PM<\/strong>\u00a0and will shift the focus of the debate onto the main cultural issues in Italy, especially in Naples and the Campania Region, in line with the Farnesina\u2019s project to incorporate local cultural services in Italy\u2019s cultural promotion network.
