As part of the Italy-China Year of Culture and Tourism 2022, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai have announced an important exhibition focusing on self-portraits by celebrated artists. The exhibition, \u201cUffizi Self-portrait Masterpieces\u201d, was organised in collaboration with the Bund One Art Museum and the Gallerie degli Uffizi and will be open to visitors from 9 September 2022 until 8 January 2023.<\/p>\n
\u201cUffizi Self-portrait Masterpieces\u201d will display 50 rare works of undoubted historic value, dating from the 16th to the 21st centuries. From the renaissance to baroque, and taking in neo-classicism, romanticism and contemporary art, the exhibition encompasses five centuries of the history of the self-portrait by some of the greatest names in art history: starting with Raphael and moving on to Titian, Rembrandt, Rubens, Jacques Louis David, Ingres, Chagall, Morandi, Yayoi Kusama and Cai Guoqiang.<\/p>\n
