Dagli Alinari ai maestri della fotografia contemporanea\u201d. The exhibition exploits images to describe Italy\u2019s beauty, its landscapes and its creativity. A plural Italy, which \u2013 over time \u2013 has been portrayed by photographers who differ a lot in terms of tone, technique and style, but who have always carefully reproduced the country\u2019s fickle and complex identities, as well as its traditions and its subtle evolution paths.<\/p>\n<div>An archive featuring over 50 photographers \u2013 including Gianni Berengo Gardin, Paolo Pellegrin, Gabriele Basilico, Gian Paolo Barbieri, Luigi Ghirri, Mario Giacomelli and Ferdinando Scianna, among others \u2013 who have all portrayed Italy in accordance with their unique and peculiar styles and interests.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>The exhibition is subdivided into three sections (Landscapes, Works, Faces), each one being an ideal historical, artistic and documentary path across the methods and genres of photography: a structure that has a very strong impact and an immediate communicational effect that is both simple and complex and that sheds light on very diverse scenarios, in terms of origin and tone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>The exhibition stems from an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; it is produced by Fratelli Alinari Idea SpA and curated by Rita Scartoni and Luca Criscenti.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Italian Cultural Institute in Tirana, in collaboration with the National Historic Museum, is hosting, until 25 September, the new stage of the photographic exhibition \u201cItaliae.
