A Crossroads of Memory between History and Literature\u201d, is a preview of \u201cpordenonelegge\u201d, \u201cFesta del Libro con gli Autori\u201d (\u201cBook Festival with Authors\u201d) which is scheduled to take place in Pordenone from 14 to 18 September, featuring 596 authors and over 300 events. The chat was moderated by the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Fabrizio Iurlano, and the Art Director of \u201cpordenonelegge\u201d, Gian Mario Villalta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The chat between Trevi e \u017dantovsk\u00fd (who is also the executive director of the V\u00e1clav Havel Library and the former spokesperson for Havel himself when he was President) focused on tracking the connection with the democratic roots of Europe in the city whose \u201cSpring\u201d remains emblematic and identity-forging for the populations of the Continent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The discussion unfolded around the leitmotif of culture as the connotative element of the \u201cVelvet Revolution\u201d and of all the authentic individual and social achievements. Indeed \u2013 said Trevi, 2021 Premio Strega winner \u2013 \u201cbeautiful things are not simple abstractions but the tangible fruit of the progress made through daily efforts and work\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To celebrate the event, the website of the Italian Cultural Institute published an e-book containing Emanuele Trevi\u2019s short story:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iicpraga.esteri.it\/iic_praga\/resource\/doc\/2022\/09\/trevi_praga_1990_e-book.pdf\">Praga 1990.
