{"id":86158,"date":"2022-09-16T14:39:29","date_gmt":"2022-09-16T12:39:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2022\/09\/prima-edizione-in-marocco-del-medfilm-festival\/"},"modified":"2022-09-16T15:44:57","modified_gmt":"2022-09-16T13:44:57","slug":"prima-edizione-in-marocco-del-medfilm-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2022\/09\/prima-edizione-in-marocco-del-medfilm-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Morocco hosts a MedFilm Festival edition for the first time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">n 22 September, Italy\u2019s Ambassador to Morocco, Armando Barucco, will inaugurate the first edition of the \u201cMedFilm Festival au Maroc\u201d to be staged until 25 September at the School of Visual Arts in Marrakesh and, from 29 September to 2 October, at the Cin\u00e9ma Renaissance in Rabat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project, set up together with the Italian Cultural Institute in Rabat, the non-profit association Methexis, HIBA Foundation, the School of Visual Arts of Marrakesh (ESAV) and the Cin\u00e9ma Renaissance of Rabat, offers a selection of eleven films, including Italian, French, Egyptian and Lebanese films that all have one characteristic in common: the \u201cmiddle sea\u201d, the Mediterranean, which is here a theatre of encounters and exchange, not only between people, but also of ideas and cultures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The MedFilm Festival was created in 1995 and 27 editions have been staged in all the Mediterranean basin countries. It is the first event specialised in spreading Mediterranean cinema with the aim of promoting intercultural dialogue and cooperation between Europe and the countries of the southern shores of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
