Astronaves en La Pampa&#8221;, with photographs by Enrico Fantoni. The exhibition, displaying the work of this Architect of Italian origin who arrived in Argentina as a child, is hosted in the Institute\u2019s Sala Roma and is scheduled to run until 31 October. In only 4 years, from 1936 to 1940, Salamone designed and built more than seventy public buildings \u2013 town halls, slaughterhouses, cemeteries, and squares \u2013 scattered over the territory of 300,000 square kilometers of the immense Province of Buenos Aires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The whole of his work, designed in a monumental style using innovative construction techniques largely based on a massive use of cement, constitutes one of Argentina\u2019s most interesting and least known architectural legacies. His work was neglected for decades and reassessed only recently.
