Indeed, it is since 2007 that Italy makes a decisive contribution towards the adoption of the General Assembly\u2019s biannual resolution for a universal moratorium\u00a0on the use of the death penalty, which is due to be again submitted to the attention of UN members next autumn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The New York-hosted event enabled participants to share and exchange opinions on the best practices put in place by the States in view of the abolition of the death penalty.
