The Open Government Partnership (OGP) \u2013 an institution that brings together 77 governments and thousands of civil society representatives to promote the themes of democratic, inclusive and accountable governance \u2013 together with the governments of Italy and Estonia, is organising the OGP European Regional Meeting on\u00a011-12 October<\/strong>\u00a0in Rome at the Loyola Auditorium. The event will bring together institutional representatives of OGP partner countries, members of civil society, as well as academics and journalists involved in \u201copen government\u201d issues, for a discussion on democratic processes, procedures and systems of government and administration in our democracies and how to make them more transparent, inclusive, participatory and accountable.<\/p>\n

The many personalities who have already registered for the event include government Ministers, civil society leaders and influential reformers. The proceedings will be structured in keynote speeches, panels and workshops addressing crucial issues of international relevance, such as anti-corruption, digital innovation and democratic participation.<\/p>\n

The meeting will start at\u00a09.30 a.m. on Tuesday 11 October<\/strong>\u00a0with opening speeches by\u00a0Paola Pisano<\/strong>, Adviser for Digital Economy and Technological Innovation of the Italian Government,\u00a0Taimar Peterkop<\/strong>, Secretary of State of Estonia and Paola Caporossi, co-founder and Honorary President of the Ethics Foundation.<\/p>\n

The plenary session will be streamed live via social channels and the OGP website in English, Italian and Ukrainian\u00a0bit.ly\/europe-22<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Open Government Partnership \u2013 YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n
