International award for the best translation of Italian poetry into Spanish.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before the ceremony, poets and translators <strong>Fabio Mor\u00e1bito,\u00a0Elisa D\u00edaz Castelo<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Paula Abramo<\/strong>\u00a0engaged in a conversation.\u00a0The\u00a0\u201cM\u2019illumino d\u2019immenso\u201d award aims at\u00a0<strong>promoting<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0<strong>translation<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>dissemination<\/strong>\u00a0of both\u00a0<strong>Italian<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Italian-Swiss\u00a0poetry<\/strong>\u00a0in Spanish-speaking countries. It was organized by poets\u00a0<strong>Vanni Bianconi<\/strong>\u00a0(Switzerland),\u00a0<strong>Fabio Mor\u00e1bito<\/strong>\u00a0(Mexico), and\u00a0<strong>Barbara Bertoni<\/strong>\u00a0(Italy), Director of the Tr\u0101d\u016bxit Laboratory, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City and the Swiss Embassy in Mexico, and under the patronage of Biblioteche di Roma [Rome\u2019s Public Libraries].<\/p>\n<p>The international jury, made up of poets and translators, received the works of 149 contestants from 17 countries. The prize for the best translation of the poems &#8220;Ci fosse stato il tempo&#8221; by the Italian poet Franco Marcoaldi, and &#8220;Di notte, nel bosco&#8221; by the Swiss-Italian poet Donata Berra, was awarded to\u00a0<strong>Isabel Teresa Garc\u00eda Casalta<\/strong>\u00a0(Venezuela).
