Final event of the Days of Italian Training in the World<\/strong><\/p>\n

Farnesina, 17 November 2022, 3 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200bThursday, 17 November 2022, at 3 PM, the final event of the Days of Italian Training in the World\u00a0<\/strong>will be held at the Farnesina in the International Conference Hall. In the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0Antonio Tajani<\/strong>, and the Minister of Education and Merit,\u00a0Giuseppe Valditara<\/strong>, the Italian Training System in the World and its relations and collaborations will be presented, with a reflection on the strategic role and the present and future potential of this network of\u00a0educational institutions.<\/p>\n

The event, moderated by the ANSA Deputy Director,\u00a0Stefano Polli<\/strong>, will be introduced by the Farnesina Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy,\u00a0Pasquale Terracciano<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>and wrapped up by the Principal Director for the Promotion of the Italian Culture and Language,\u00a0Alessandro De Pedys<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This will be the first institutional event dedicated to the Italian Training System in the World. It is an opportunity for discussion and dialogue among all players\u00a0in the network, which includes Italian schools and\u00a0sections abroad,\u00a0lectures and courses on the Italian language and culture.<\/p>\n

The Italian Training System in the World includes:<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0over 300,000 students;<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0 \u00a07 Italian state schools abroad \u2013 the\u00a0core of\u00a0the System \u2013 in Addis Ababa, Athens, Barcelona, Istanbul, Madrid, Paris and Zurich;<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0\u00a042 Italian private schools abroad \u2013 30 of which in the Northern Hemisphere and 12 in the Southern Hemisphere;<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a092 Italian sections in foreign, bilingual or international schools where the Italian language is taught, as well as subjects taught in Italian. Over half (49) are the result of international agreements;<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a010,979 courses on Italian language and culture abroad, organised by managing bodies and ministerial teaching staff. 65 managing bodies\u00a0received ministerial grants in 2021, spread across\u00a0Europe, North America, Latin America, South Africa, Australia and the Middle East;<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0 \u00a0130 Italian language lectures in foreign universities, active in 63 countries;<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0school staff: 674 school managers, teachers and administrative staff, managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and serving abroad.<\/p>\n

With the first edition of the Days of Italian Training in the World, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, together with the ANSA press agency, wants to boost this network of educational institutions, promoting discussion among all players on opportunities, challenges and prospects.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0actors\u00a0of the Italian Training System in the World liaise with the diplomatic and consular network, with the Cultural Institutes and with the other public and private\u00a0actors\u00a0active in the promotion of the Italian language and culture in the world, based on multi-year country plans\u00a0that take into account the needs of the cultural, social and economic context of the local realities.<\/p>\n

Students, experts, teachers and school managers will attend the initiative, which stems from the awareness that Italian education and training are an important instrument of cultural diplomacy and soft power, as part of the promotion of the Italian language and culture in the world.<\/p>\n

The speeches by the\u00a0Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, will be streamed on the YouTube channel of the Farnesina.<\/p>\n

Accredited media representatives will be able to access the\u00a0Farnesina\u00a0from the main entrance, left-hand side,\u00a0on 17 November, from 3.15 to 3.45 PM.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An FFP2 face mask is required.<\/p>\n
