The all-Italian menu was prepared by a group of disabled or disadvantaged young apprentice chefs. The event was co-organised with the Myanmar Deaf Chefs Association, founded by the Italian Maurizio Mandl in 2016 to offer the opportunity of professional experiences in the catering sector to deaf and dumb youths, and with the professional school established at Yangon\u2019s Shwe Sa Bwe Restaurant.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFood means sharing and sharing means solidarity. This is why, considering the current situation in Myanmar \u2013 Nicol\u00f2 Tassoni Estense explained\u00a0\u2013 we decided that all the initiatives organised during the Week would go to support civil society organisations particularly active in the field of food security and education. We believe that the presence of the Embassy, at this time of extreme need, can and must represent a tangible way of providing help, hope, and solidarity to the Burmese population, besides promoting the knowledge of our Country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the Week, the Italian Embassy in Yangon organised an Italian Food Court where Italian restaurants, and distributors and producers of Italian food and wine products in Myanmar offered the more than 500 visitors the possibility of tasting and purchasing a large selection of specialties. Eleven restaurants and bars in Yangon prepared a special menu dedicated to our Country.
