{"id":94187,"date":"2022-12-30T17:00:15","date_gmt":"2022-12-30T16:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2022\/12\/grande-successo-per-stem-study-visit-to-italy\/"},"modified":"2022-12-30T17:51:39","modified_gmt":"2022-12-30T16:51:39","slug":"grande-successo-per-stem-study-visit-to-italy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2022\/12\/grande-successo-per-stem-study-visit-to-italy\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;STEM Study Visit to Italy&#8221; initiative meets with great success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Scientific-Technological Hub of the \u201cFederico II\u201d University of Naples and its \u201cApple Academy\u201d venues hosted the final ceremony of the programme \u201cSTEM Study visit to Italy\u201d for young innovators from Georgia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the long-standing cooperation between the Foundation for Technological Innovation (COTEC) and Georgia\u2019s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) \u2013 which aims to strengthen ties between Italy and Georgia in the scientific-technological and digital sectors \u2013 the event disclosed the results of the STEM study visit to SPICI (renowned digital academy of the \u201cFederico II\u201d University of Naples)\u00a0by two young Georgian innovators\u00a0through a scholarship assigned by the COTEC and Materias Foundations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The two young students talked about the personal and professional growth they experienced during the visit, specifically mentioning the skills they acquired while developing digital transformation solutions for businesses and public administration offices, and while thoroughly studying international scientific-technological cooperation and start-up programmes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moderated by Vera Viola, journalist of the daily \u201cIl Sole 24 Ore\u201d, the event featured a number of speakers, including COTEC President, Prof. Nicolais, the Rectors of the \u201cFederico II\u201d and \u201cOrientale\u201d Universities of Naples, Prof. Matteo Lorito and Roberto Tottoli, as well as Italy&#8217;s Ambassador to Georgia, Enrico Valvo, the Councillor for Research, Innovation and Start-ups of Campania&#8217;s Regional Government, Valeria Fascione, the President of host organisation SPICI, Vincenzo Lipardi, the head of the Apple Academy, Prof. Giorgio Ventre, and representatives from public and private stakeholders involved in Naples\u2019 innovation strategy.
