On Friday 24 February, at 10 a.m., the Embassy of Ukraine in Rome commemorated the first anniversary of the Russian Federation’s aggression.<\/p>\n
Deputy Minister Cirielli attended the ceremony on behalf of the Italian government. During the event, the Deputy Minister stressed how the war had undermined the foundations of the international community.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the last 12 months, we have witnessed all kinds of barbarities: indiscriminate bombings on Ukrainian cities and fundamental infrastructure, disregarded freedom and basic human rights,\u201d stated the Deputy Minister. He also recalled how Italy and the Euro-Atlantic allies have firmly opposed the heinous war campaign launched by Putin, thus restating the supremacy of freedom over oppression, rights over chaos, solidarity over indifference.<\/p>\n
