The event , which ran from <strong>17 <\/strong>to<strong> 18 October,<\/strong> was entitled &#8221; Navigando nel dolce mare italiano: la rete ti aiuta a non naufragare\u201d (Surfing the sweet\u00a0 sounding Italian sea. The Net will keep you afloat).<\/p>\n<p>The seminar, which was opened by the Dean of the\u00a0 hosting University , was a most interesting opportunity to discuss several themes, starting from a video conference with Marco Calvo, author of <i>\u201cLiber Liber, il sapere condiviso \u00e8 un\u2019utopia possibile\u201d, [Books, shared knowledge is a possible utopia]<\/i> and president of the <i>Liber Liber<\/i> non-profit organisation which aims to encourage the informed use of computer technology in the humanities area.<\/p>\n<p>Special attention was paid to different\u00a0 ways of teaching and learning Italian in today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n<p>The second day\u2019s\u00a0 agenda included three presentations, which dealt with the relationship between the Italian language and the Internet, with a critical look at the increasing trend of the transposition of human relationships onto the Internet:\u00a0 <i>\u201cL\u2019uso degli spot pubblicitari nell\u2019uso dell\u2019insegnamento della lingua italiana\u201d (<\/i><i>\u201cThe use of advertisements in teaching the Italian language\u201d); <\/i><i>\u201cSiamo venuti dal futuro per costruir l\u2019amico in rete\u201d (\u201cWe have come from the future to create friendships on the Internet\u201d); <\/i><i>\u201cL\u2019internet e ricerca: un vademecum futurista?\u201d (&#8220;The Internet and research: a futuristic guidebook?\u201d)<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The humanities department of the Rio de Janeiro State University organised a seminar to mark the 18th Week of the Italian Language in the World.
