The Foreign Ministers of Algeria, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Qatar, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, UK and US, and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs call upon all parties to the Libyan Political Dialogue to immediately approve the political agreement brokered by UN Special Representative Leon following the meetings of the parties in Skhirat and Geneva.<\/p>\n
The parties to the dialogue face a stark choice. They can delay approval of the text and annexes beyond October 20 or attempt to make further amendments, and put at risk the stability of the country. To secure Libya’s future, we urge the Libyan parties to \u200eimmediately approve the hard fought political compromise set forth in the political agreement, which will provide a period of stability to the country until a new constitution can be agreed. New elections can then be held which will finally give Libya a fully representative, inclusive and democratic parliament whose legitimacy is acknowledged across the country and the world.<\/p>\n
The Libyan people have made it clear that want an end to instability in their country, instability which has led to the loss of lives, allowed terrorism to grow, and severely damaged the economy of the country. The international community stands ready to support the Libyan people and the leaders they choose.<\/p>\n
The international community looks forward to working with the Government of National Accord, at their request, in supporting the fight against terrorism, particularly ISIL and Ansar Al-Sharia, and in helping Libya face up to its many challenges.<\/p>\n
We urge all participants in the dialogue to seize the opportunity to end this instability by approving, and faithfully implementing, the political agreement without introducing further amendments.<\/p>\n

Le parti del dialogo sono di fronte a una scelta molto grave. Possono ritardare l\u2019approvazione del testo e degli annessi oltre il 20 ottobre o tentare di introdurre ulteriori emendamenti, mettendo a rischio la stabilit\u00e0 del Paese. Per mettere al sicuro il futuro della Libia, incoraggiamo le parti libiche ad approvare immediatamente il lungamente discusso compromesso politico sancito nell\u2019accordo politico, che dar\u00e0 al Paese un periodo di stabilit\u00e0 fino a quando una nuova costituzione potr\u00e0 essere approvata. Potranno quindi avere luogo nuove elezioni per dare finalmente alla Libia un nuovo Parlamento rappresentativo, inclusivo e democratico e la cui legittimit\u00e0 sia riconosciuta in tutto il Paese e nel mondo.<\/p>\n
La popolazione libica ha chiaramente indicato di volere la fine dell\u2019instabilit\u00e0 nel Paese, instabilit\u00e0 che ha portato alla perdita di molte vite, che ha permesso la diffusione del terrorismo e ha danneggiato gravemente l\u2019economia del Paese. La Comunit\u00e0 internazionale \u00e8 pronta a sostenere la popolazione libica e i leaders che sceglier\u00e0.<\/p>\n
La Comunit\u00e0 Internazionale \u00e8 impaziente di collaborare con il Governo di Concordia Nazionale, dietro sua richiesta, nella lotta contro il terrorismo, in particolare contro Daesh ed Ansar Al Sharia, e nell\u2019aiutare la Libia a fronteggiare le sue molte sfide.<\/p>\n
