The Farnesina is issuing yearly grants to fund projects for youth exchanges. Since 2016, the contributions have been granted following calls to participate that have been published on this page every year. Please read the text carefully.
The projects shall include youngsters between the age of 18 and 35. These projects will seek to develop in youth respect, tolerance and communication through a common knowledge of cultural differences.
The major objectives of the project will include the following actions:
active participation of youth in social and political life;
social inclusion of youth;
enhancement of cultural, artistic and environmental heritage;
consideration for the values of tolerance, pluralism and social solidarity.
Note: applications may be sent to MAECI as of January 2017
Applications for grants may be sent by Non-profit Organisations, Foundations, Universities, Regional Governments, Municipalitiies, Public Agencies, Institutes and Centres of Research (both public and private), Health Units
Applications will have to be directed to the Direzione Generale per la Promozione del Sistema Paese del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, which will assess the project and notify with a decision whether to issue a grant or not. The grant will cover no more than 70 % of the total amount spent and financially accounted for, and will be issued once the programme has been completed and after the verification by the General Directorate.
