The Italian Institutes of Culture have relaunched in the world the initiative 'Musica che Unisce (Music Unites)'. Great Italian music artists participated in the collective music event organised to raise funds for Civil Protection. A virtual gathering to help cope with the COVID-19 health emergency.
The 'Musica che unisce' initiative will be broadcasted directly on all the websites of the Italian Institutes of Culture around the world for seven days, thanks to a collaboration with Rai streaming platforms.
Andrea Bocelli, Cesare Cremonini, Tiziano Ferro, Marco Mengoni, Riccardo Cocciante, Gigi D'Alessio and Elisa, together with many other artists, have performed to launch a strong message of responsibility in a moment of great difficulty for the country.
Many artists, strictly form home, joined the initiative offered the public unpublished live video sets for a single long concert of shared music, without advertising interruptions. The purpose was raising funds and remember how the connection between human beings, possible through music, is fundamental to overcome the current planetary emergency.
Vincenzo Mollica's narrating voice also introduced the contributions of the artists Gigi Proietti, Roberto Bolle, Piefrancesco Favino, Paola Cortellesi and Enrico Brignano, and the messages of the athletes Bebe Vio, Federica Pellegrini, Valentino Rossi and many others.
