An official system mission led by Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Della Vedova began today, and consists of a delegation of 75 firms and business associations in the sectors of infrastructure, mechanics, medicine and biomedicine, energy, and others. The initiative, planned by the Cabina di Regia per l’Italia Internazionale in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development with the support of the Agenzia ICE and Confindustria, aims to further strengthen bilateral economic and political relations with the Vietnamese market.
The mission starts in Hanoi with the Business Forum on the 24th, whose goal is to intensify Italy’s economic and trade relations with Vietnam and to examine the opportunities that country could offer our firms as a gateway to greater Asia. On the morning of the 25th the Joint Economic Commission will meet for the first time to launch a structured mechanism of meetings on the economic themes considered priority for both countries. The visit will also include the official opening of the Consulate General of Italu in Ho Chi Minh City.
A total of 400 B2B encounters are also planned for Italian and local firms on every leg of the mission.
