Germany - “Scientific Tuesdays” kick off

Andrea Accomazzo, an engineer currently in charge of interplanetary missions at the Operations Department of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Darmstadt, will open the new cycle of lectures organised by the Italian Consulate General in Frankfurt under the title “I martedì della scienza” (“Scientific Tuesdays”). The cycle is dedicated to the dissemination of scientific topics conceived to draw the Italian and German public closer to the ever-more dynamic world of science.

The Italian Consulate posted in a note: “’With Rosetta: a dream that lasted 30 years’, our Italian and German friends with have the opportunity to listen and ask questions to the Flight Director of the Rosetta Mission, Andrea Accomazzo. Through films, photos and personal stories, the ESA engineer will make us live this incredible human and scientific experience, guiding us through the exploration of our solar system and interplanetary travel, providing us with information on the precious work of high-level Italian companies that produce scientific precision instruments for missions and habitation modules for human space flights.” The event is scheduled for Tuesday, 7 March, at 7 p.m. in the Events Hall of ENIT in Frankfurt am Main.
