CALL FOR PARTICIPATION to "Premio Barcellona" - 1st edition
Within the framework of the Residence Programme promoted by the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT) - General Directorate for Contemporary Arts and Architecture and Urban Peripheries - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) - General Directorate for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation - and the Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona, announced a call for participation to the first edition of the award titled “PREMIO BARCELLONA”. It consists of two residence programmes on the themes of sustainable and low environmental impact design (Eco-design). The call is restricted to Italian designers.
The winners of the Barcelona Award will be able to live in Barcelona for six months with a view to developing an in-depth professional understanding of eco-design-related issues by being in direct contact with the local cultural and artistic milieus and attending all cultural events organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona and the ELISAVA Institute (Barcelona School of Design and Engineering).
