On-line consultation available for the fourth Open Government Action Plan

Until 30 April it is possible to take part in the on-line public consultation for the fourth Open Government Action Plan, referring to the 2019-2021 period: an open and constructive debate for gathering the observations of citizens, associations, enterprises and civil servants that can help draft the new Plan. The consultation comes after the OGP Team of the Public Function Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers has started meetings with the Public Administration offices and with the Open Government Forum – an international initiative attended by 100 civil society organisations.

The Action Plan devises the national strategy for achieving significant results in terms of transparency, civil participation, countering corruption, streamlining and innovating public administration, in line with the goals of the Open Government Partnership, whose Steering Committee features Italy as a member.

Compared with the previous Action Plans, the one for the upcoming biennium introduces some noteworthy novelties: a limited number of actions will be indicated, so as to focus on ambitious and significant projects; each action shall involve a number of administration offices, ensuring a structured cooperation that can maximise the activities’ impact; finally, activities will be defined bearing in mind the proposals submitted during the preliminary consultations.
