The OECD's Peer Review on Italian development cooperation is online

The OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) regularly reviews the development cooperation efforts of individual DAC member countries. The policies and programmes of each member country are critically reviewed about every five to six years. Five member countries are reviewed annually. The OECD Directorate for Development Cooperation provides analytical support, develops and maintains, in close consultation with the Committee, the methodology and analytical framework (Reference Guide) within which Peer Reviews are conducted.

The objectives of the DAC Peer Review are to improve the quality and effectiveness of development cooperation policies and systems and to promote effective development partnerships to ensure a more meaningful impact on poverty reduction and sustainable development in developing countries. The DAC Peer Review assesses the performance of a given member country (not only that of its Development Cooperation Agency) and examines both its policies and their implementation, from an integrated system-wide perspective of development cooperation and humanitarian assistance activities provided by the member country under review.
