Italy too will be present at Argentina's Bienal de Performance 2017. Our country will be represented by Italo-Argentinian musician and artist Lucio Capece, who will perform his sound opera RX 22 for two RX11 electronic batteries and 9 suspended loud speakers. The event is scheduled to take place on 31 May at the Museo Latino Americano of Buenos Aires (MALBA). The initiative is sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in the Argentinian capital. Concomitantly with the event, the Museum will present “La música es mi casa”, an exhibition by artist Gastón Pérsico that hinges upon the theme of cohabitation and the experience of sound by drawing upon different disciplines: visual arts, poetry, music and graphic design. The exhibition will also serve as a common space in which the attending artists can stage performances like the one by Capece.
