Argentina officially presented its pavilion for the Milan 2015 Universal Exposition in a ceremony at the Palacio San Martin, where foreign minister Eduardo Zuain and Argentine EXPO commissioner Martin Lettieri addressed the guests. Italy was represented by Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mario Giro and Italian ambassador to Buenos Aires Teresa Castaldo. Giro cited Argentina’s participation as a unique opportunity to strengthen what are already excellent economic and trade relations , rooted in deep affinities. Minister Zuain agreed, observing that the richness, diversity and production capacity of Argentina would be reflected in its 2000 sqm. pavilion, and explaining that Argentina “intends to contribute to the global debate on the challenge of food by placing the accent on the concepts of responsibility and sustainability in development policies”.
