In 2002, the Italian government, in collaboration with the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration (CTPA) of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) set up the Alessandro Di Battista Research Fellowship. The Fellowship is co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Finance in memory of the young economist Alessandro Di Battista who was sent by that ministry to the OECD to work on tax analysis and died prematurely in 2001.
The Fellowship’s main objective is to allow a young Italian economist to be seconded by his/her current employer to the OECD to conduct tax analysis and gain experience at the CTPA for a period of 12 months. The candidate selected receives a monthly supplement of €3,000 to be added to his/her regular salary in recognition of added expenses. The application deadline is 6 December 2015.
