BRAZIL – Italy attends the Film and Food Festival in Brazil

The Cine Pireneus in Pirenopolis, in the Brazilian State of Goias, is hosting the Slow Filme – International Film and Food Festival, until Sunday, 17 September. The programme includes film screenings, laboratories, workshops and food and wine tasting events. Now at its 8th edition, the festival this year is curated by film director and critic Sergio Moriconi and is dedicated to the culinary habits of migrants and refugees, with 20 films showing how intolerance is divisive and how food can bring people together. Italy, sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Brasilia, will participate in the Festival with the film “Quando l’Italia mangiava in bianco e nero”, directed by Andrea Gropplero di Troppenburg: a journey across traditional Italian and regional recipes through images in black and white from the Archivio Luce, showing dishes, testimonials and gags by people from the world showbusiness and of culture.
