CANADA – GHELLA IS AWARDED AN IMPORTANT CONTRACT IN ONTARIO.
The Italian Company Ghella has been awarded a contract with a total value of 4,7 billion Canadian Dollars in Ontario. The Company, which is part of the West End Connectors Consortium, along with the Spanish Dragados and Canadian Aecon Companies, will be responsible for extending Toronto’s metro line in a westerly direction, known as the 'Eglinton Crosstown West Extension', over a distance of 9,2 km (of which 6 are underground). The final signing of the Contract is planned by the end of spring 2021, while the works will begin in 2022.
This important achievement of the Italian Company adds to the contract the Company obtained to build a section of the Vancouver metro.
