Italian Economic Diplomacy January 13: latest news from the world

AIIB has launched the Young Professionals Programme (YPP), which aims to recruit and train a group of young people in the early stages of their professional career. The aim is to activate a virtuous circuit within the institution that benefits from the academic skills and experience, but above all from the motivation that the selected young people would bring, in addition to the professionalism of the senior staff working at the Bank.

The selected YPs will work with the Bank's staff to acquire and develop practical experience and work with clients in the public and private sectors to gain a broad understanding of the development prospects of the Asian region's infrastructure. YPs will receive mentoring, training, career guidance and every possible development opportunity to enable them to grow professionally.

The selected young people will work in the departments dealing with investment operations, the definition of sector policies and strategies of the AIIB and in the finance/treasury sectors.

YPs admitted to the programme will be offered a two-year contract with a competitive salary and benefits package. The first year of the programme is a trial period. Upon successful completion of the entire two-year programme, based on performance and institutional needs, YPs with appropriate performance may be offered a renewable three-year contract of employment.
