Financing internazionalization: Cassa Depositi e Prestiti launches its new products

The Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) Group has expanded its integrated offer of insurance and financial tools for the promotion of export and internationalization activities. Through SACE and SIMEST, it provides an array of tools capable of meeting all the needs Italian companies may have when engaging in an internationalization process.

This is what the CDP Group's top management stated during the 5th meeting on the 'Situation Room for the Internationalisation of Italy', held at the Farnesina on 27 October.

As of today, access to foreign markets has improved for Italian businesses that, also thanks to the benefits envisaged by the Ministry of Economic Development's decree (DM 7/9/2016), will be granted lower rates, the possibility of financing  higher volumes of expenditure, a lower level of guarantees required and simplified on-line procedures with shorter processing time and streamlined payment procedures.

Companies will also be able to access a new " Investment Portal" through the SIMEST website (simest.it), thanks to which it will be possible to file on-line requests for a new intervention or manage financing facilities already underway with SIMEST.

The Portal was developed to support companies in designing their investment projects in non-EU Countries and to allow them to file a financing request with digital signature. This will streamline and step up the processing of requests while reducing the documentation required in the perspective of a 'paperless' society. Sweden: Contract for the construction of the E4 highway by-pass in Stockholm awarded to Astaldi-Gulermak

The Italian construction company Astaldi has been awarded the contract for the construction of a section of the so-called 'bypass' of the E4 highway in the southern part of Stockholm. The contract, valued at about 32 million euros, regards the building of two underground single-lane ramps leading into and out of the bypass towards the highway in the Skharholmen area, and measuring respectively 435 and 665 meters in length. Trafikverket, the Swedish Transport Administration responsible for infrastructure and transport, is the contracting entity. The contract is expected to be signed by the end of the month and works should be completed in five years's time. Astaldi participated in this tendering procedure together with the Turkish company Gulermak. It is the first time that Astaldi is awarded a contract on the Swedish market.
