Music Diplomacy - The 49th instalment of “Diplomazia e dintorni” airs on Radio LUISS on Tuesday December 1st

The theme of the 49th instalment of “Diplomazia e dintorni” is “Music Diplomacy”, and will air on Radio LUISS on Tuesday December 1st.

Music has always been considered a means for fostering understanding among peoples, a common language that facilitates communication and is therefore capable of bridging the differences between cultures and traditions. It can thus be thought of as a highly useful tool for diplomacy and part of that “soft power” that is one of its features.

This week’s guest is culture manager and musician Paolo Petrocelli, with whom we will discuss the concept of “music diplomacy”, analysing the activities and initiatives that could be associated with it. We will speak about those who could be involved and what goals could be expected from a variety of international activities.

The programme "Diplomazia e dintorni" can be heard on-line on Radio LUISS http://www.radioluiss.it by clicking on "on air" in the upper right-hand corner of the page, as well as on smartphones by downloading the Radio Luiss app.
