IDLO Partnership Forum - Access to Justice and The Rule of Law as Drivers of Sustainable Development: Opportunities and Challenges

On the occasion of the yearly Assembly of the Parties of the IDLO (International Development Law Organization), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is hosting the IDLO Partnership Forum: Access to Justice and The Rule of Law as Drivers of Sustainable Development: Opportunities and Challenges.

Inspired by the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, with a special focus on access to justice, the fight against inequality and the promotion of social inclusion, the Forum will analyze the terms in which the rule of law and access to justice can favour sustainable development and contribute to achieve peaceful and more equitable societies.

The Forum will be introduced by Nawaf Al-Mahamel, President of the Assembly of the Parties of IDLO. It will be divided into two sessions, which will be attended by Willy Mutunga, former Chief Justice and President of Kenya's Supreme Court,  Irene Khan, IDLO Director General,  Mohammad Farid Hamidi, Attorney General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Alfredo Durante Mangoni, Coordinator of International Activities for the Fight Against Corruption of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI),  Alicia Beatriz Pucheta de Correa, President of the Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay,  U Tun Tun Oo, Attorney General of Myanmar, and Dunstan Mlambo, Judge President of the High Court of South Africa.
