Roadshow for internationalisation closes 2015 in Como

The roadshow for the internationalisation of Italian businesses closes 2015 with a bang. The final of these events for the year was held in Como, where 180 multisector firms will be participating. The format (09:45 – 11:30) included a plenary session divided into three subsections: introduction, “l’altra tecnica” and Q&A. Important guests from institutional and financial spheres illustrated instruments and strategies to be used in support of businesses on a global market. Speakers included President of Confindustria Como Fabio Porro and Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Benedetto Della Vedova. Other speakers included Claudio Colacurcio of Prometeia specialist, who spoke on international scenarios, and Paolo Bulleri of the Directorate General for Global Policies and Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Economic Development (Mise). Director General of ICE Roberto Luongo, head of the Piedmont and Domestic Network Office of Sace Enrica Del Grosso and head of institutional relations and studies of Simest Carlo de Simone closed the session.

The three high-level officials illustrated national instruments for supporting internationalisation, and businesspersons had an opportunity to meet with representatives of the organisations present, which included the Farnesina, Mise, Sace, Simest, Ice, Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria, Regione, Rete Imprese Italia and Alleanza delle Cooperative. This roadshow was the first time that all “System Italy” participants – public and private – involved in joint medium-term efforts across the country were able to meet together. Public institutions, private business organisations and prominent financial actors met with businesses on the theme of internationalisation. The roadshow has been a great success, so much so that it will be extended into 2016 with 19 new dates.
