Construction, energy and the agro-food industry are the industrial sectors targeted by the institutional and economic mission of Confimi Industria in Cuba. On the mission’s agenda is a three-day cycle of B2B meetings (until 12 May) between Italian and Cuban companies as well as meetings with local institutions with the aim of creating new trade and business opportunities. The Italian delegation has scheduled numerous B2B meetings for the 13 companies of the Confimi group led by Vice President Dino Piacentini. Today’s meetings started with an encounter with Ileana Nunez Mordoche, the Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba, and with Carmine Robustelli, the Italian Ambassador in Havana. The mission will close with a visit to the Special Economic Development Zone of Mariel, an area of Cuba which concentrates virtuous industries operating in the sector of advanced technology, logistics, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry.
