An Italian fashion night in Malta. The historical town centre of Malta's La Valletta will become an open-air catwalk on 23 July at 8:30 p.m. International renowned designers will show their collections. Everything is set for the 'Gran Gala della Moda' organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in La Valletta, with Malta Chamber of Fashion and the Maltese-Italian Chamber of Commerce and under the patronage of the Italian Embassy to Malta.
Italian Haute Couture will be represented by the acclaimed designers, Gianni Molaro and Carlo Alberto Terranova. Molaro is an artist-designer from Naples who is well-known for designing record-breaking pieces. Terranova, who was late Fausto Sarli's right-hand man for many years, will present his own brand. Twenty Maltese models will wear their creations. The Gala will also feature the Opium Addict Collection by Luke Azzopardi, a promising Maltese designer. The Italian Cultural Institute in Malta will present the "Culture and Fashion Award" to one of the designers. Master of Ceremony will be Lisa Marzoli, a journalist with RAI RadioTelevision Italiana.
