Rabat - Morocco’s Roman era marbles: Siena professor guest at Cultural Institute

Emanuele Papi, professor of classical archaeology of the University of Siena and of Roman archaeology at the Italian Archaeology School of Athens, pursues archaeological missions in Greece, Morocco and Egypt. His experiences will be the focus of a meeting on 29 September organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Rabat and the Institut National des Sciences de l'Archéologie et du Patrimoine (Insap). The meeting’s theme will be Roman era marble statues in Morocco, the oldest of which (25 B.C. – 40 A.D.) represented sovereigns as heroes and gods. Read more, in Italian.
