Sydney - Italian Institute of Culture offers a tour of Italy’s famous wine-producing regions

The Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) in Sydney offers a tour of Italian wines across Italy’s most famous wine-producing regions and the excellence of their products. The first event of the series (organised by the IIC in partnership with the Osteria Balla Manfredi) will be hosted at the IIC on 12 May, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will be dedicated to the region of Piedmont and four of its wines: Arneis, Timorasso, Barbera e Nebbiolo. The event presentation note published on the IIC’s website reads: “It is impossible to generalise when speaking of contemporary Italian wines. Today it is still impossible to use the generic expression ‘modern Italian wines’ as this definition would only apply to a fraction of Italy’s extraordinary wine production, part of which continues to rely on traditional production methods that could even be considered outdated. In any case, it would be a mistake not to focus on the best and internationally acclaimed Italian wines, many of which are produced with extremely innovative methods. Prestigious Italian wines have been exceptionally successful in the Food & Wine sector and many Italian wine producers, both traditional and innovative, are greatly appreciated throughout the world.”
