12th Contemporary Art Day - On Saturday, 15 October, the doors of the Farnesina Palace will be open to the public

On Saturday, 15 October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will join in the celebration of the Contemporary Art Day organised by AMACI (Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums) by exceptionally opening its doors on a day of closing.

The guided tour will unfold through the most representative rooms on the first, second and fourth floors of the Farnesina Palace, which display some of the most significant works of the Farnesina Collection, the Foreign Ministry’s collection of contemporary art.

In particular the second floor, which was opened last May, is dedicated to the different schools active during the ‘80s and ‘90s and includes works by Ubaldo Bartolini, Bruno Ceccobelli, Omar Galliani, Alberto Garutti, Felice Levini, Titina Maselli, Renato Mambor, Piero Pizzi Cannella and Grazia Varisco.
On the 4th floor, visitors will be able to learn the story of the Farnesina Palace through reproductions of the plans of  Enrico del Debbio’s project design for both the outdoor and indoor spaces of the building and tour the exhibition dedicated to the artwork of the 21st Century, a selection that reflects the latest trends of Italian art.
