Gentiloni strongly condemns appalling armed attack at synagogue, urging all parties to the peace process to distance themselves

Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni expressed “firm condemnation of the appalling armed attack carried out this morning in a synagogue in Jerusalem”.

The Italian government “expresses disdain and deep condolences to the families of the victims and solidarity with the wounded”.

"It is my hope” – the minister concluded – “that all parties engaged in the peace process declare their firm condemnation and distance themselves from this despicable act”.
