Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela del Re, announced a one million euros humanitarian aid package for the people of Ethiopia during a visit to Addis Ababa. It will allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to provide medicines and medical devices to displaced people in the border between the regions of Oromia and Gedeo. Six thousand households will also receive seeds and agricultural equipment. A shipment of antimalarial drugs and emergency health kits will be delivered from the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) in Brindisi to Ethiopia in the next few days.
