The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Honourable Enzo Moavero Milanesi, Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a meeting earlier today on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The two discussed a Canadian citizen, Edith Blais and an Italian citizen Luca Tacchetto missing in Burkina Faso. The two Ministers expressed their shared concern and resolve to work closely together. They agreed that government officials from both Canada and Italy will continue to collaborate closely and gather additional information in support of these missing individuals.
