Undersecretary Ivan Scalfarotto participates in the 38th edition of JP Morgan Healthcare, which opens today in San Francisco: the world's leading event in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life sciences. About 20 Italian companies are expected to attend, for which, in collaboration with ICE (Italian Institute for Foreign Trade), opportunities for meetings, participation in events and targeted presentations have been arranged.
On the occasion of the visit, the Undersecretary will meet leading representatives of the business, financial and industrial community in the San Francisco area and will explore the cooperation projects currently under preparation to strengthen the synergy between Italian innovative companies and the Silicon Valley ecosystem.
"The world of Italian startups, already particularly dynamic in terms of innovation, is called to strengthen its level of internationalization" - said Scalfarotto - "A close cooperation with Silicon Valley is essential to deal with the main world ecosystem able to allow rapid scalability of its business. I am therefore extremely honoured to represent the Government in the first major event at international level after the entry into force of the reform that provides for the transfer of responsibilities in the field of trade and promotion on foreign markets to the Farnesina (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and following the visit of the President of the Republic last October. “
