Libya: delivery of general purpose first aid kits donated by Italy to hospitals in Benghazi

The Foreign Ministry informs that the general purpose first aid kits donated by Italy and destined to the hospitals of Benghazi have been delivered today. The kits will be able to treat approximately 20,000 patients over the next three months.

The kits arrived in Tripoli, from where they were subsequently taken to Benghazi by land and were delivered to the local depot of the Health authorities, who will then distribute them to the various health care facilities.

The delivery of the kits is part of Italy's aid policy aimed at meeting the needs of the Libyan people. In addition to the health facilities in Benghazi, also the hospitals in Tripoli, Misrata and Ubari have received medical equipment and health products from Italy during the past few weeks.
