Alfano underlined that "any solution will have to be sustainable over time and respectful of the principles of sovereignty and dignity."Minister Alfano then expressed his satisfaction over " the excellent level of bilateral relations that our Countries enjoy in every field. Our political dialogue has grown even stronger following Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed during my recent visit to Doha. Our economic partnership is strong and solid. I am sure that there are still margins to enhance it."Mr Alfano and his counterpart discussed the intense and fruitful cooperation Italy and Qatar have in the commercial and financial sectors, stating that "many Italian companies are contributing to building key infrastructure for the implementation of the Qatar National Vision 2030 Plan. It is an acknowledgement of Italian excellence and we believe that it may pave the way for more success stories.""Italy, on its part," Alfano concluded, " is promoting an important reform package also with a view to attracting international investors and companies, and giving them a more favourable business environment. I trust that these reforms will lead to increase Qatari investments in Italy."
