Di Stefano, Strong response to tables on export

distefano

The Sectoral Tables continue at the Foreign Ministry, led by Undersecretary Manlio Di Stefano, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio, with over 150 trade associations and business representatives and video conferences throughout Italy.

The objective is to integrate the new needs that emerged from the business world following the economic crisis generated by the Covid-19 emergency in the Government's strategy to promote exports and to internationalise the Country System, within the framework of the "Pact for exports" launched by Minister Di Maio.

"The response of the main production categories involved so far – declared Undersecretary Di Stefano – including the world of fashion, mechanics, home furnishings and other important realities that export a very significant share of their production, has been very strong, both in terms of participation in this first week and as a contribution of ideas, confirming the importance that the business world attaches to the dialogue with the Government.

In order to achieve our objective of relaunching the internationalisation of the Country System in the post-Covid phase, making use of the resources allocated by the Cura Italia Decree and Liquidità Decree, which have been added to the annual allocations of the Extraordinary Plan for Made in Italy, it will require a unanimous effort by all the actors: Embassies and consular network, CDP group with SACE and SIMEST, network of ICE Offices and Cultural Institutes, as well as the world of Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad".
