Conference “Transition to Renewable Energies in Africa: what implications?”

Today, the Farnesina hosts the conference “Transition to Renewable Energies in Africa: what implications?”.

The event, co-organised by the Foreign Ministry and the Renewable Industry Advisory Board of the International Energy Agency, scheduled contributions from Amani Abou-Zeid, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy (African Union), Vera Songwe, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and Antonio Cammisecra, CEO of Enel Green Power and President of “Res4Med&Africa”. Contributions will also be made by Massimo Gaiani, Director General for Internationalisation and Global Issues of the Foreign Ministry, and Giorgio Marrapodi, Director General for Development Cooperation.  

The event also included the signing of a letter of intent on the “Capacity building programme for renewable energies,” between the UNECA and Res4Africa.
