Lyon: Leonardo Opera Omnia exhibition

Lyon: Leonardo Opera Omnia exhibition

Full-size backlit reproductions of the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci will be on display until February 29th at the Catholic University of Lyon as part of the  'Leonardo Opera Omnia' exhibition organised and designed by the Italian Cultural Institute of Lyon. Using digital technologies, the exhibition enables visitors to rediscover the works of the genius of the Renaissance in a visual experience of a new kind, and to admire the Mona Lisa, the Lady with the Ermine, the Last Supper, the Virgin of the Rocks, the Annunciation, the Portrait of an Unknown Woman, Saint Anne, the Madonna, and the Virgin and Child with Saint Anne: a total of 17 of Leonardo's most famous paintings and murals reproduced at life size thanks to HD Digital Painting technology. This is also a unique opportunity, in these special circumstances, to admire some of his most famous frescoes including his very large Last Supper (which he painted in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan). Born out of a Rai Com project curated by Antonio Paolucci that has already toured all the five continents, Lyon will be the only opportunity in France to see this exhibition.
