IIC Bogotà: Italian Cinema Week starts

On the occasion of the exhibition ‘Fare cinema’ promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Cultural Institute of Bogotà has set up a programme of events that will begin with a debate on the film “Ladri di Biciclette” (Bycicle Thieves) by Vittorio de Sica, by Paolo Vignolo. Tomorrow a meeting on the theme "Luchino Visconti: sonata in 4 movimenti" is scheduled. On Wednesday, the debate will be on the film "Roma, città aperta" (Rome, Open City) by Roberto Rossellini, while on Thursday there will be a discussion on "La dolce vita" by Federico Fellini. On Friday, there will be a debate concerning "Medea" by Pier Paolo Pasolini, and on Saturday the festival will close with an event on "Indagine su un Cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto" (Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion) by Elio Petri. In the framework of the festival there will also be a videoconference by Manuel Vitali and Francesco Agostini on "Introduzione audiovisiva alla regia cinematografica attraverso le emozioni" (Audio-visual introduction to film direction through emotions). Finally, as part of the Italian Film Week, the Institute and the virtual cinema Cineplex will launch the film “Momenti di trascurabile felicità" (Moments of negligible happiness) by director Daniele Luchetti.
