The Italian Cultural Institute in Lima presents the virtual exhibition Mario Luzi e la letteratura latinoamericana (Mario Luzi and Latin American literature). The online exhibition brings two cultures into dialogue through the reviews that the famous Florentine poet and chronicler of the Corriere della Sera, Mario Luzi, made periodically on the novels that authors such as Mario Vargas Llosa, Ernesto Sábato, José María Arguedas and José Luis Borges among others, wrote on the other side of the ocean. His idea was to show Italian readers a new literary world, full of energy and vitality. The selection was made by Rossana Pozzi, professor at the University of Insubria, and can be visited on the Yotube page of the IIC in Lima.
The exhibition – which highlights a theme of great topical interest, namely intercultural dialogue between different peoples and traditions, starting from the interest and knowledge of a culture and literature "other" than the one they belong to – is organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Lima, the Office of International Relations of the UCSS – Universidad Católica Sedes Sapientiae in Lima and the International Research Center for Local Histories and Cultural Diversities of the University of Insubria.
